Fennycompton based GT front runner Nathan Freke is set to make his debut appearance with Leeds based sportscar manufacturer Ginetta in their works entered Ginetta G55 GT3 at this weekends Britcar 1000km event at Silverstone.

The Yorkshire team has had some notable success in the past at these events having won each and every Britcar three-hour race they have entered with this car since 2012. Ginetta, who rarely select customers to partner their regular in-house factory drivers, sighted Freke as a very fitting partner to their existing top class line up of Ginetta owner and former Le Mans Winner Lawrence Tomlinson and British GT3 front runner Mike Simpson, Ginetta are keen to ensure their unbeaten run remains in place.

Speaking ahead of the weekend, Nathan said, “I’m thrilled to be racing at the Silverstone 1000km next weekend in the Team LNT Ginetta G55 GT3. Lawrence and Mike have shown in previous events that they are a highly competitive driver pairing, so this will give us a fantastic chance of getting a top result. Having driven a slightly older specification G55 GT3 at the same circuit back in May, I’m confident that we can easily run at the front of the field in a fully up to date car with works support from Ginetta.
