Nathan Freke will race for Glynnsport in the Dutch Supercar Challenge at the Silverstone Britcar 24 Hour Meeting.

2006 Formula Ford Champion, Nathan Freke, has accepted an invitation to compete in the Dutch Supercar Challenge at Silverstone on the 7th and 8th of September as part of the Britcar 24 hour meeting.

Nathan will be racing a TVR Sagaris, an upgraded version of the Tuscan racecar he drove in 2004. The drive gives Nathan a rare opportunity to showcase his talents in what has been a frustrating year for the Kidderminster racer.

The call came from a team that watched Nathan in the Porsche Challenge drive earlier in the year, Tim Hood team principal, said ‘We had a spare seat in one of our cars and we had no hesitation in asking Nathan to drive for us, he was outstanding in an uncompetitive car in the 2004 Tuscan Challenge and he will do well in this car which is a proven race winner.’

Nathan will be cutting short his holiday to race, ‘When the call came I had already booked a short break abroad, and I had no doubt that to cut the holiday short was the right thing to do, opportunities have been thin on the ground this year after the collapse of the deal to race in the USA. I need to be racing and I am very grateful to Tim, and Steve Glynn whose car I am co driving. It will be a big ask though as I have not driven the car before, I have not driven the Silverstone GP circuit either and the first time I will get to drive is in qualifying, but I am really looking forward to it.
