Multiple British Motorsport Champion Nathan Freke today passed his Oval Racing Rookie Test at the Nashville Superspeedway. The rookie test is a requirement to compete in the Indy Pro series on the oval tracks. Nathan completed over 100 miles on the 1.3 mile circuit in conditions which were less than ideal for testing, even so he impressed his new team, Michael Crawford Motorsport, with his ability in the car whilst averaging 167 mph in a car he was driving for the first time. nathan commented after the test ` I am really pleased with how things went, it was a crazy sensation but good fun, G forces on an oval took some getting used to, but I am looking forward to the pen test at Miami Homestead on Thursday when the rest of the competition will be there and I can see the size of the task` Michael Crawford, team owner, commented ` Nathan did a real sound job and impressed the IRL technical director with his performance and there was no hesitation in passing him to race on the ovals. We are looking forward to some good performances from Nathan`

Nathan will now participate in the first official test on the Homestead Oval in Florida on the 28th Feb, prior to flying home .
